Patti Gerth
Interim Afternoon Community Program Director, Morningside
Patti is currently the Interim Director at JKG Morningside. She joined the JKG team in 2021 and most recently served as Lead Teacher at Morningside. As the team lead, Patti played a key role in the implementation of the JKG curriculum, and she has often been at the helm of many of our most memorable experiences.
Patti is a proud Georgia native, an avid collector of unique eyewear, and an artist with a passion for various mediums. She studied Art History at Emory University, and her transition into education has been both fulfilling and inspiring.
Patti’s professional journey began in an art store, where she had the pleasure of guiding students through art lessons. One memorable experience involved helping a young girl hand-paint her own tallit. This process of blending artistic expression with Jewish tradition sparked a deeper interest in exploring her own Jewish heritage. Throughout her time at JKG, she has found great inspiration in learning Hebrew and Jewish values alongside her students. She greatly values using creativity as a means to explore and express the rich traditions of Judaism.
Outside of JKG, Patti enjoys creating handmade earrings, sewing, carving stamps, and spending quality time with her cat, Frida. Patti is looking forward to connecting with JKG families in new and exciting ways.
